Sherry Wolfenbarger Cagan is a horsewoman, philanthropist, and artist. She has won many cutting championships on horses bred and trained by her and her family on their farm in Kentucky. She initiated the Stanford Lyme Working Group, an interdisciplinary collaborative research program of a team of 30 esteemed scientists and physicians, including a dozen directors and chairs of departments. Collaborations include other leading institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Columbia, Tulane, and Duke. Additionally, Sherry initiated the first CME Lyme disease conference at Stanford. She founded and is president of the Stand4Lyme Foundation, advocating for those with the disease. As a sculptor, she has received critical acclaim for her life-size monuments, as her work has been featured in several art magazines. The artist’s works are viewed at Stanford University, Portola Valley Town Center, the National Cowgirl Museum, and in private and corporate collections around the world.
