A businesswoman from an early age, Stacie opened and ran a franchise of 32 fitness centers across Texas and Florida by the age of 22. She is currently CEO of McDavid Investments Company, which involves real estate and investments, as well as overseeing the McDavid equine breeding/training/ranch operations. She is an avid competitor in the National Cutting Horse Association and was inducted into their Non-Pro Hall of Fame, as well as the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. In 2016 she earned the title of American Quarter Horse Association Amateur Cutting World Champion and was the Reserve World Champion in 2017. A philanthropist who cares deeply for cultural and educational advancement of her local and state-wide community, she serves as a Vice President of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and is a board member of the Fort Worth Zoo and MD Anderson Cancer Center. McDavid supports the University of Texas Longhorn Foundation and serves on the Executive Chancellors Committee for UT. In 2018 and 2019 she was selected as an honoree to Fort Worth Inc. Magazine’s The 400, which lists the area’s most influential people. Most recently, she was governor-appointed to the Texas Woman’s University Board of Regents.
