Angie Debo Ph.D.

Angie set out to be a history teacher. Growing up on the Oklahoma frontier, she loved books and learning. Her dreams of teaching college history were blocked by discriminatory college practices against hiring women. She turned to writing about history as an alternate avenue. Priding herself on unyielding accuracy, her historical publications garnered national acclaim, earning her the title, “First Lady of Oklahoma History.”
