Group Rates: up to 30 people at one time with two week advance reservation; 10 person minimum.
Tours will be self-guided and the STQRY media tour is available for anyone with a smart phone.  The tour groups must be divided into smaller groups of no more than 10 people in one group.  Docents will not be provided at this time. Group tour discounted rates do not qualify for free parking.

During inclement weather, we follow the Fort Worth Independent School District’s closure and delayed opening schedule for weekdays. Weekend hours and special events are determined separately based on weather and safety conditions. We will post alerts in the event of a closure. Parking:

Daily and Event Rates

  • 0-120 minutes: $6
  • More than 120 minutes: $12
  • More than 180 minutes: $15

Special-event parking will range from $12 to $15.

Parking is FREE for Cowgirl Museum Members when visiting the Museum and parking in the Museum lot west of the Museum or the Western Heritage Garage north of the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History. Request a voucher from the visitors desk.

Visitor FAQs

$6 for two hours or less; $12 for more than two hours. Parking is FREE for Cowgirl Museum Members. Parking in the Museum lot or Western Heritage Garage is free with a voucher from the visitors desk, based on availability.
To keep The Cowgirl galleries clean and safe for artifacts, art and guests, no food or drink is allowed while visiting. Guests are welcome to bring food to enjoy on benches located outside. near the front of the Museum or at picnic tables located in Alice Walton park, south of the Museum. Food and drink provided during events held at The Cowgirl are not permitted in any galleries and must be consumed in the lobby or Rotunda.
Tickets may be purchased at the Museum.
Handheld photography and video for personal use is allowed. Please no tripods, monopods, selfie sticks or flash photography. Share your photos on social media and tag @cowgirlmuseum.
Guests are welcome to bring small bags, backpacks and purses (12 X 12 X 12 and under). For guest safety and comfort, large bags, luggage, bicycles, scooters, skateboards and other personal transport devices are not allowed. No glass containers. Oversized strollers, double strollers and wagons are not permitted in galleries due to limited space.
As an educational institution with numerous school and educational groups and activities on our property, weapons are prohibited from the property pursuant to Section 46.03 of the Texas Penal Code. Additionally, pursuant to Texas Penal Code Sections 30.06 and 30.07, we have posted legal signage notifying the public that we do not permit concealed or openly carried handguns in our facility, with the exception of law enforcement officers.
The Cowgirl is happy to assist guests with mobility disabilities. People with disabilities who use manual or power wheelchairs or scooters and manually-powered mobility aids such as walkers, crutches, and canes are allowed in all facilities and areas. Safety risks require that the following rules apply to the use of power-driven mobility devices by persons with mobility disabilities: • Persons wishing to use a power-driven mobility device must be prepared to provide credible assurance that the person is using the device due to a mobility disability. • No mobility devices powered by fuel or combustion engines are allowed in any indoor facilities. • The Musuem reserves the right to prohibit the use of power-driven mobility devices in any area within that personnel reasonably determine that use causes a legitimate safety concern for the disabled patron or for other persons. In those instances, the Museum will use reasonable efforts to provide a storage location for the mobility device and accommodate the mobility impaired visitor in alternate ways. The Museum does not provide motorized wheelchairs or scooters. Manual wheelchairs are available upon request. A drop off zone for individuals needing assistance is available in front of the Museum.
