Event Details

All ages of Girl Scouts are welcome to spend the afternoon creating swaps, exploring museum exhibits at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, and engaging with other Girl Scouts.

What is a SWAP?: It’s a small token of friendship to exchange with the Girl Scouts they meet while traveling. These little gifts are called “SWAPS,” which stands for “Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere.”

Before you come: Check online for SWAP ideas. Create at least 10-15 SWAPS with your troop or family prior to your visit. There will be time to trade with other girls.

Check in: Check in will be at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame anytime between 1:00 – 2:00 pm. You will receive a wristband and your fun patch.

Visit: Both the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will be open. Visit each museum to create your own SWAPS and tour exhibits. There are three SWAP stations at each museum.

Time to trade: Meet in the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame at 3:00 pm to begin to exchange your SWAPS with other Girl Scouts.

This event is $10 per scout and $5.00 per adult. Registration is required and is on a first come, first served basis. The event registration closes on Monday, October 31, 2016, or once full. To register and for more information, please click here. Participants should anticipate a parking fee.
