High Desert Princess
The museum has been given the opportunity to offer a limited production of 100 miniature bronze sculptures of “High Desert Princess” by artist Mehl Lawson. Each is approximately 12-1/2” tall and 13” long, cast in bronze, set on a wooden base and individually numbered. (see photograph on right) The introductory pre-cast offering price is $3,500. Proceeds from the sale will go to support the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. To reserve your casting of “High Desert Princess” or for more information, please call 817-509-8978. Bilingual Audio Tour Available.

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is pleased to offer visitors an extensive bilingual audio tour of its award-winning building and galleries. Offered in both English and Spanish, the audio tour, funded by an Institute for Museum and Library Services grant, features the voices of members of the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame. The visitor is guided through exhibits by narrator Michael Martin Murphey, Western Music Hall of Fame Inductee.

Hall of Fame Honoree Dale EvansThroughout the audio tour, voices of National Cowgirl Hall of Fame members gathered from the museum’s Oral History Project bring exhibits to life with actual accounts of events and lifestyles. Hall of Fame Honorees’ whose voices are heard include entertainer Dale Evans, horsewoman Connie Douglas Reeves, singer Cindy Walker, trick rider Mitzi Lucas Riley, and Associate Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.

The audio tour also provides instructions on how to use the many interactive exhibits in the museum. LifetilesArchitectural features of both the exterior of the building as well as interior highlights including the domed rotunda and LIFETILE murals by artist Rufus Seder, are highlighted.

Working with Antenna Audio, a leader in the field of audio interpretation, the museum offers the tour on an award-winning X-plorer MP3 player specially designed for the unique needs of museums, incorporating superb sound, extreme durability, and ease of use in a small, elegant player. Visitors will independently explore the Museum and create a self-paced tour with the touch of a button.

The tour is free of charge with a paid admission and available on a "first come-first served" basis.
