Patty Eckman
Patricia (Tenneboe) Eckman was born in Brookings, South Dakota, in 1950. She grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota, later moving to Southern California, where Patty completed her art education at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. That is where she met her husband and business partner of 33 years, Allen D. Eckman. After working in advertising as illustrators, Patty and Allen discovered the medium of cast paper sculpture and have become the world’s premier cast paper sculpture artists. They now reside in Rapid City and create from their studio in the beautiful Black Hills.
