Glenna

Glenna Goodacre

Glenna’s bronze sculptures are recognized for their exciting expressions and interesting compositions. Becoming a successful painter upon graduating from Colorado College and studying at the Art Students League in New York, she turned to sculpture after creating a small bronze of her young daughter. Glenna has more than 50 bronzes in public collections across the country. Her most well-known work is the Vietnam Women’s Memorial in Washington, D.C. In 2000, her rendering of Sacagawea, the Shoshone interpreter for Lewis and Clark, appeared on the new U.S. dollar coin.
