Sherry Salari Sander

Animal sculptor Sherry Salari Sander resides in the Montana countryside surrounded by a mini wildlife preserve, the setting for her home and studio.  She draws much inspiration from animals seeking protection there as well as from extensive travel and field research ranging from the Alaskan bush to the African plains.  Sander is a member of the Society of Animal Artists, National Sculpture Society (Fellow), North American Sculpture Society, Allied Artists of America, Artists for Conservation, among others.  Notable exhibitions include the National Academy of Design, National Academy of Western Art (NAWA), Prix de West, Artists of America, Gilcrease Museum Rendezvous 1995, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, National Museum of Wildlife Art “Wildlife Art for a New Century II,” and “Masterworks of American Sculpture & Selections from the National Sculpture Society 1875—1999.”

Permanent collections include: Buffalo Bill Historical Center, National Museum of Wildlife Art, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum, Denver Zoo, and Benson Park Sculpture Garden, among others.
