The Museum
Behind every artifact lies a story
of a realized dream, a broken barrier, a life examined.
“Cowgirl is an attitude, really. A pioneer spirit, a special American brand of courage. The cowgirl faces life head on, lives by her own lights, and makes no excuses. Cowgirls take stands, they speak up. They defend things they hold dear.”
Dale Evans, 1995 Hall of Fame Honoree
A tour of The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is different than most, in that it’s not strictly about admiring great people in history. It’s about inspiring you, our visitor.
To that end, we have stories to enlighten you — tales of women who shaped the West one horse, one song, one ranch at a time. You’ll find interactive exhibit galleries featuring thousands of artifacts and photographs, a traveling exhibit gallery, three theaters, a research library, a retail shop and plenty of friendly people to answer your questions.
From pistols to pink-and-gold riding boots, from heartbreaks to champion moments, you’ll see why we’re the only Museum in the world truly dedicated to the safekeeping and sharing of American cowgirl and her courageous way of life.
Come on in. You’ll hear cowgirl hearts beating everywhere.
