A dab of color and a bit of imagination will help you explore shading, perspective, and the world of mediums to give you tools to create a masterpiece of your own. Join us for a FREE teacher in-service Tough by Nature on Monday, June 17th! This in-service program provides teachers with in-depth knowledge of the National Cowgirl Museum’s temporary exhibit, Tough by Nature. Come see how artist Lynda Lanker portrays cowgirls through various types of art mediums. Participants will receive resource materials, receive free parking and admission to the museum during the in-service, and three hours CPE credit.

Hosted by the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame Fort Worth Museum of Science and History National Archives at Fort Worth. All ages of Girl Scouts are welcome to spend the afternoon, from 1 PM - 4:45 PM, creating swaps, exploring Museum exhibits and learning more about the history of Girl Scouts.
• Explore the rich history of the Girl Scouts through the holdings of the National Archives and create a historical swap!
• Create a swap to go with the Tough by Nature exhibit at the National Cowgirl Museum.
• Create a “sciency” swap and visit the Museum’s exhibits. You won’t want to miss CSI: The Experience.
Here’s how it works:
• Create a few swaps with your troop or family prior to your visit
• Check in at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame anytime between 1:00-3:00 pm
• Visit the different museums to create your own swap and tour exhibits
• Meet in the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame at 4:00 to begin to swap with other girl scouts
Fee: $10.00 per Girl Scout, Additional Adults (if more than 2 per group) $5.00
NOTE: Participants should anticipate an $8 parking fee per car.

Bring your family out to the celebrated Cultural District and enjoy free admission to a variety of art and cultural exhibitions, family-friendly activities and live performances by some of Fort Worth’s favorite arts groups.
With the motto "We have more fun than anyone" you can be sure that this group is entertaining. Sisters on the Fly is a a group of women who challenge themselves in all that they set their minds to do, whether that be wine tasting, fly fishing, cowgirl college or spending time at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. The Sisters on the Fly trailers will be parked across from the Museum Friday - Sunday. Ticketing information to come.
